FOUNDATION

The ITS Turismo del Veneto Foundation was incorporated by public deed on 14 November 2011 with the aim of addressing the requirements of the tourism industry, which is increasingly oriented towards integrating specialist professionals into the system.

The ITS – Istituto Tecnico Superiore (Higher Technical Institute) – formula is applied in implementation of the provisions contained in the Italian Decree of the President of the Council of Ministers dated 25 January 2008, on “Guidelines for the Reorganisation of the Higher Technical Education and Training System and the Establishment of Higher Technical Institutes”. Its aim is to promote the dissemination of a technical and scientific culture applied to planning and development activities in the field of culture and tourism and to support measures to develop the economy and apply active employment policies.

The activity is financed by the following funds:

  • MIUR – Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research
  • Regional funds, such as the Veneto Development and Cohesion Financing Plan – Special Section
  • Private funds – Founding Members and Participating Members
  • Student participation fees.
The objectives are as follows:
  • To enable students to acquire high technological specialisation, which is essential for qualified entry into the world of work

  • To facilitate an experience-based teaching approach whereby learning is achieved through action and experimentation with situations, tasks and roles in positions of uncertainty and complexity, akin to everyday work situations

  • To guide young people and their families towards the world of technical specialisation
