ERASMUS+

Erasmus+ is the European Union’s programme to support education, training, youth and sport.
This programme assists all Higher Education Institutes in integrating and enriching their training offer with a mobility experience abroad which forms part of “Key Action 1: Learning mobility of individuals” and Key Action Higher education student and staff mobility within programme countries (KA103).

The ITS Academy Turismo Veneto Foundation, by signing the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), undertakes to oversee all coordination activities prior to, during and even after the mobility period, pursuing the general principles established by the Charter itself to the full benefit of members of the Erasmus+ programme.

Erasmus+ Policy Statement

The new 2014/2020 program proposed by the European Union for education, training, youth and sport calls for the Institutes of Higher Learning to adopt and undersign the new Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE).This document defines the fundamental principles and minimum prerequisites that every Institute of Higher Education must possess in order to operate in the field of the new European program. Through the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education and in particular the Policy Statement within the Charter, every institute of Higher Learning demonstrates that is has developed a strategy of modernization and internationalization directed toward working in an international context. It also guarantees the quality of its international didactic programs as well as the international experience offered to its students and its academic and administrative staff.

ERASMUS+: the benefits

Erasmus+ offers students the opportunity to complete a traineeship at companies in EU countries. The Erasmus+ mobility for Traineeship is, for all intents and purposes, a curricular traineeship, as indicated in the ITS Academy Turismo Veneto teaching regulation. The quality and relevance of the organisation are subject to constant improvements and upgrades aimed above all at:

  • Guaranteeing the possibility of joining a working environment abroad

  • Developing specific professional skills and particularly the capacity of intercultural mediation

  • Implementing soft skills linked to personal initiative and planning

  • Enhancing the CV, facilitating post-diploma employment

  • Expanding the network of personal and professional contacts

How to join the programme

As the ITS Academy Turismo Veneto Foundation has signed the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education – ECHE, each enrolled student may apply to participate in the Erasmus+ programme with just a single specification: students attending the second year of the Academy’s Specialisation Master will be able to access it.

The Erasmus+ Mobility for Traineeship opportunities will be assigned in line with a merit ranking developed by a Committee which will select candidates based upon the following criteria:

  • Average value of first year training units

  • Percentage of lesson attendance

  • Motivation interview (includes motivation letter)

  • Linguistic interview

  • Certification of linguistic knowledge

  • Previous personal experiences

The score values, methods and timescales to be met in order to apply are specified in the dedicated Erasmus+ Call.

For students awarded mobility grants, additions to the community funding may be resolved by the Executive Board of the ITS Foundation, subject to verifying its financial availability.
